After entering the professional blogging world by purchasing a domain name, one of the most important things to do is to set up a professional email address for your business. If you own a windows phone we have got a nice tutorial on setting up professional email on your Windows Phone.
What is Professional Email?
You might have seen contact pages on different websites with contact emails like, firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. The professional email is the one that ends with your business name, for example, firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com where xyz is the name of your business.
Professional email is always better for your business than gmail, yahoo or any other email provider.
How to Setup Professional Email on Windows Phone?
1. Creating Email Account on Cpanel
First of all, log into cPanel of your web hosting, on which your domain is hosted. You will see “Email Accounts” there, click on it.
On next page, choose the email ID you wish to use, choose a secure password and allot maximum storage for the email account. After this, click on create account.
After the email account has been created, on the bottom of the same page, you will see your email account. On right side of the email click on “More”, you will get option to access your webmail and configure your email client with your email account. Click on “Configure Email Client”.
Clicking on Configure Email Client will take you to the settings page, here you can see settings on your webmail. On the bottom of this page, you will see manual settings. Note down “Secure SSL/TLS Settings” ( We will need these later).
1. Configuring Email Account on Your Windows Phone
It will take you to the the next page, where select “advanced setup”.
In “advanced setup” enter the email and password you created in your cPanel in Step 1.
Now, in next step Click on “Internet email”(POP or IMAP accounts) and after that when your phone asks you to enter the “incoming email server, account type, password etc, enter the details that you have noted in Step 1.
Click on the sign in and you are done, you have successfully set up professional email on your Windows Phone.
3. Testing Your Email Account
Note: Some webhosts use email rate limit. They only allow you to send a limited number of emails in the given time.
